I never used hostgator coz of what happened in their live chat. I asked a simple question and I was locked from the chat, bcoz the sales person didn't knew what to respond. I have posted the transcript below.

You can see the delay in answer (2.5 min) time above in the question, what happended next was unblievable. I was simply locked, whatever I wrote didnt came on screen, I tried to clarify the question and still couldn't. probably they were not giving a free domain and she posted wrong info. Yet they could have apologised and rectified. Why to just locak a user. I kept typing and nothing appeared on chat screen when I pressed 'send'. They could have just clarified and I would have been there client. DuH!
Just my 2 cents!!

Been with hostgator for 5 months and it was really a good experience, service was good. I left it only because of high price.

HostGator is one of the hosts offering a fair service for the price and one of the fastest shared hosts.
Warmly recommended.
